Led design, shipped ChurroFi on Celo, and built a system to scout top Web3 talent.

Overview

At Find Signal, I led the design of ChurroFi, a staking platform on Celo. The goal was to make staking accessible to Celo holders while improving visibility for Validator Groups across the ecosystem.

The project was grant-funded, shipped on time, and earned community-wide recognition. ChurroFi's design and traction eventually led to its acquisition and rebrand as ChurritoFi.

I also contributed to building Find Signal's hiring system to scout and onboard top Web3 talent, which was scarce at the time.

Reflections

ChurroFi was my first time designing a DeFi product where a set of users weren't crypto-native i.e. Celo holders who wanted to stake but didn't understand validators, slashing, or lock-up periods. That constraint forced clarity into every flow. No jargon shortcuts, no "the user will figure it out." That discipline carried into everything I've designed since.
